In an interview with the 'Kelman Lieberman' program on Channel 2, Smotrich referred to the IDF attacks in Lebanon, which came after the ceasefire was violated and said that the IDF is enforcing the agreement and that the Lebanese government must also pay a price "so that it has an incentive to enforce the agreement." In the interview, Smotrich also referred to the IDF's withdrawal from southern Lebanon in the next two months: "Depends on a cabinet decision and the implementation of the agreement." The Finance Minister was asked about the report in Kan News about the economic cost of a military government in Gaza, which was estimated by the security establishment at about 25 billion shekels: "The figures are nonsense. They shouldn't be concerned with the economy, but with security."
