But it hurts no less to see the vast majority of parents, for whom tradition is important and Jewish values \u200b\u200bare dear to their hearts - and who remain silent in the face of the smear campaign, which is designed to rob their children of what little Judaism is still left in the education system.<\/p>\r\n There is something to do.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n A strong and determined initiative is required from parents who understand the vital importance of Judaism for Jewish continuity. Don't just express your opinion in an occasional survey, but say it out loud to the principals and teachers in whose hands you entrust your children.<\/p>\r\n Encourage them not to be impressed by the cries of "religion," and to give the children the Jewish oxygen they so desperately need.<\/p>\r\n And those who truly miss the 'education of yesteryear' should know that it is alive and well. Hundreds of such schools operate throughout the country, providing children with an education that fills parents with pride and happiness. These are the schools that did not succumb to passing winds, but remained faithful to the values \u200b\u200bby which the Jewish people have lived for thousands of years.<\/p>\r\n Caring parents, even if they are not observant in their lifestyle, should consider providing a religious education for their children. They can choose to give their children an education they will be proud of.
