A simple comparison between our present day and the war that took place fifty-seven years ago illustrates the magnitude of the unimaginable miracle. We have been fighting in Gaza for seven months, and we still have not defeated the enemy, while in Iyar 5727 we defeated seven Arab armies in six days and regained Judea and Samaria, the Gaza Strip, Sinai, and the Golan Heights!<\/p>\r\n
It was a tremendous miracle that left the entire world speechless. It was an unparalleled moment of divine grace, which sparked a tremendous awakening in the hearts of masses of Jews in Israel and in the Diaspora.<\/p>\r\n
From a security perspective, this was also a departure from the strait into the open. God Almighty gave us the opportunity to transform from a small and threatened state into a regional power, capable of deterring its enemies and ensuring peace and security for its people.<\/p>\r\n
To lie confidently<\/strong><\/p>\r\n But then something happened that we didn't really pay much attention to.<\/p>\r\n Our enemies realized that they would not be able to subdue us through military force, and they turned to using an equally dangerous weapon - the weapon of consciousness. They attack us with all their might and power, with lies and plots. They instill in the world public opinion terms and expressions that present us as criminals. While we respond politely, with restrained words, and in a constant tone of justification and defense.<\/p>\r\n The Arabs' lies are accepted in the public consciousness because they repeat them over and over again, with determination and aggression. They will never apologize, defend themselves or justify themselves. They will always attack with absolute confidence, even if it is the most blatant and baseless lie.<\/p>\r\n In this arena, they invest enormous resources and employ activists in all the centers that influence public opinion. And the "world is a sham" buys the false propaganda and becomes convinced that they, the abominable and cruel murderers, are the good and the poor, while we are the bad and predatory scoundrels.<\/p>\r\n And there is another element that gives them an advantage - they do not have 'soulmates' who call for understanding the other side or who try to argue that it is inappropriate to make historical and religious arguments. Any claim, even the most unfounded, that can strengthen their position receives the full support of their people, and they stand with us in a unified position.<\/p>\r\n Airplanes are chained<\/strong><\/p>\r\n And so crowds around the world recite the slogan, "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.".<\/p>\r\n Let's ignore for a moment the fact that the state of 'Palestine' never existed, but in fact this is a clear anti-Semitic call, which means the destruction of Israel. And what do they respond when presented with this claim? - That they are actually expressing "a desire for freedom, human rights and peaceful coexistence"...<\/p>\r\n Unfortunately, Israeli governments have neglected this important arena, focusing on military procurement. They have not understood that abandoning public opinion to Arab propaganda is crippling our modern planes and tanks, and causing our wars to drag on for many months, without achieving a decisive victory and defeating the enemy.<\/p>\r\n We are not complacent. Even if we invest the necessary resources, there are still more than enough anti-Semitic elements in the world who would be happy to give a platform to Israel's enemies.
