About 15 years ago, problems arose in the relationship between the couple and at a certain point the marriage ran aground. In 2018, the husband filed for divorce in the Rabbinical Court, after a long hearing had previously taken place in the Family Court regarding property and custody, and it was determined that the minors would be transferred to the father. The woman did not appear for any of the hearings held in the Family Court, including the hearings held in the Rabbinical Court. Therefore, the Court was forced to issue an arrest warrant against her and she was brought to the hearings by the Israel Police, but she refused to answer the court&#039;s questions and was released on bail. The woman appeared for the following hearings after posting bail, but she insisted that she was not ready to accept a divorce and that she was determined to proceed with a &quot;home peace&quot; process with her husband. Over the years, the court imposed sanctions on the woman: revocation of her driver&#039;s license, freezing of her bank account, etc., but these were futile. In 2019, after all the court&#039;s efforts to bring the woman to an agreement were in vain, the court transferred the case to the Agunot Division, which recruited a psychologist for this purpose who worked with both spouses for a long period of time. His efforts to convince the woman to cooperate with the court were unsuccessful, and the psychologist determined that the woman refused to accept reality and release her husband to start a new life. As such, the court issued a decision to impose a get, but in the following hearings the woman did not appear again and the court was forced to order her arrest again. The woman remained in custody for 24 hours until her brother-in-law released her on bail of twenty thousand shekels. At this point, the court tried to influence the woman through her place of employment, and this attempt was also unsuccessful. Therefore, the court referred the case to a social worker who issued a report in which she informed the court that the woman was not cooperating with it. In all seriousness, the court requested the approval of the president of the High Court, the rabbi, Rabbi David Lau, to issue an arrest warrant against the woman. After a long discussion and repeated attempts by the judges to convince the woman to act sensibly, the woman refused all of their suggestions - and the president of the High Court had no choice but to approve the woman&#039;s arrest warrant. This morning, after countless attempts to get the woman to accept a get by agreement, the Agunot Division acted through a private investigator, located the woman and followed her. The woman acted as if she were fleeing, walking through narrow alleys and retracing her steps in order to prevent being followed. She eventually returned home and locked herself inside the house.
