Last week, Sunday afternoon, 6:00 PM. My son's Talmud Torah is holding a graduation party.<\/p>\r\n
I had palpitations because on Saturday. The day before, at 7 o'clock, there was an alarm and I thought that it takes a lot of courage to hold such a party when you know that this is a favorite time for Hamas (in the meantime, a few more favorite hours have been added).<\/p>\r\n
Anyway, we arrived. I stood there and heard 40 babies from Beit Rabban bursting into Jacob's blessings to his sons. 40 verses by heart. Screaming their souls.<\/p>\r\n
And I fell apart.<\/p>\r\n
I cried like a little girl. Tears finally came out (and I usually don't get excited about kids' end-of-year parties).<\/p>\r\n
About the people of Israel, about the dead soldiers, about the wounded, about the missiles, about the husbands and their wives and sons, and who knows what the fate of those children standing on stage will be...<\/p>\r\n
And on the other hand, I felt how the heavens were torn, the laws were torn, and perhaps this is the victorious answer against the enemies, and this is exactly what needs to be done in this difficult hour for the people of Israel.<\/p>\r\n
And the children shout the blessings:<\/p>\r\n
Judah is a lion cub... He crouched down like a lion, and as a cub, who will raise us up???<\/p>\r\n
Who will move Judah from his place - do you understand Jacob's blessing?<\/p>\r\n
Unfortunately, a number of relevant answers to this rhetorical question have emerged over the years.<\/p>\r\n
And by the time Jerusalem decides to move from its position and fight back, there has to be a good enough reason.<\/p>\r\n
But alongside the rhetorical question that is now receiving a chilling answer from our murderous neighbors, the welcome also reveals a great and important truth: unity between the tribes.<\/p>\r\n
