1.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The weekend newspapers of the ultra-Orthodox sector were full and overflowing with prayer. Prayer for the success of the war, prayer for continued miracles in the face of the missiles raining down on the country's settlements, from south to north. The dailies, those published on Friday, had already reported on the ground attack, which began on Thursday evening. The weeklies, distributed on Thursday morning, still questioned the possibility of a ground invasion.<\/p>\r\n

2.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Speaking of Yated Ne'eman, even when the guns are roaring, he remains faithful to the line of view that has always accompanied him, without being surprised by secular criticism along the lines of: 'How are you not ashamed, the soldiers are taking risks and you are addressing such things?' By the way, prepare for the end of the war: It is customary and accepted in the State of Israel that at the end of every war, a gloom opens over the Haredi public, along the lines of: "Our mothers don't sleep at night, our children die on the battlefield, your children are parasites.".<\/p>\r\n

But even before that, Yated Ne'eman is at his best, with the battle against the current government, whose "war against the Haredi continues as usual," in the sense of "we will fight Hamas as if there were no Haredi, we will fight the Haredi as if there were no Hamas." To paraphrase, from the days of the British, when the then chairman of the Jewish Agency, David Ben-Gurion, coined the phrase: "We will fight the White Paper as if there were no war against Hitler, and we will fight Hitler as if there were no White Paper.".<\/p>\r\n

On the agenda, among other things, is a municipal bylaw that the Tel Aviv Municipality is currently promoting (and where is the sensitivity in the Tel Aviv area, which has been hit by rockets recently?) for the partial opening of supermarkets on Shabbat. But there is also no shortage of laws from the current government's school of thought, which hit the Haredim regardless of the timing, appropriate or not - the Conversion Law, the Kashrut and Shabbat Law, and on and on.<\/p>\r\n

3.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The weekly award can be presented this week to MK Miri Regev.<\/p>\r\n

Say what you will about her, think whatever you will about her rants on various issues, this week she certainly showed remarkable sensitivity. It was MK Yaakov Asher (guess which daily newspaper is carrying the story) who addressed her and her heart in a letter, stating that a discussion in the Interior Committee, which she chairs, on the division of Beit Shemesh is not appropriate at this time.<\/p>\r\n

The hearing was canceled, according to her decision.<\/p>\r\n

4.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

And once again the mutual family-community spying method worked successfully when both were published with the same title (doesn't it happen that editors dream about the same title at night?) - "Fire without a break.".<\/p>\r\n

This time, the 'Bekhila' cover was much more impressive. On it, a soldier in an IDF uniform, adorned with tefillin, a siddur in his hand, leading a prayer.<\/p>\r\n

Impressive, although not quite appropriate.<\/p>\r\n

In light of the army's attempts to lure soldiers (this time, to the Givati \u200b\u200broute, but there are several other routes in the pipeline), this is not the time to introduce an ultra-Orthodox soldier. Even on Purim this year, after the enactment of the draft law with its criminal sanctions, ultra-Orthodox parents refrained from seeking out their son to be a soldier. Sensitivity, as we have already mentioned.<\/p>\r\n

5.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The most authentic, with a title that fits the situation, was 'Day by Day'.<\/p>\r\n

Perhaps because its editor is a resident of Sderot who lives in the area, where they talked not about the non-stop fire, but about the "rain of missiles" - this is what describes the frustrating situation of the residents of the south, who have also been joined in recent weeks by residents of Greater Tel Aviv (including Bnei Brak), Jerusalem, and much further north.<\/p>\r\n

I also loved the editor's column there. He is so right. They, the residents of Sderot and the surrounding area, have been at gunpoint for 13 years, and suddenly the people are evacuating, realizing, suddenly the people are against a ceasefire.<\/p>\r\n

It turns out, to my surprise, that even 'Yom Liom' does impressive field reports, this time with the towns of the south. And how is it possible without the fragrance that rises from its pages, the fragrance of the memory of the late Rabbi Yosef. This week they mentioned how he asked to help his elderly neighbors when the alarm sounded. How characteristic of him, of Rabbi Ovadia, was to think about every detail related to every individual in the Jewish people.<\/p>\r\n

6.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

In Beit Ne'eman, they compiled the miracles in an impressive list, under the title "On the Missiles and the Wonders.".<\/p>\r\n

A missile hits a playground \u2013 just after a group of young people have left it... A Jew goes out to get garlic from the storage room in the yard and is surprised by the great destruction that awaits him... A missile lands next to a gas cylinder and 'for some reason' does not explode... A missile hits a fuel tanker and 'ignores' 100,000 liters stored nearby... And this is only a partial list, of course.<\/p>\r\n

The family also submitted a respectable list, under the title "For your daily miracles.".<\/p>\r\n

But he went further to do 'in the community' \u2013 with "Ten Fragments of Faith." This time with the finest form of presentation: at the beginning of each miracle, an orderly detail \u2013 the location, the person of the miracle, and the miracle \u2013 briefly, with the full details outlined.<\/p>\r\n

I loved it.<\/p>\r\n

7.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Too many newspapers interviewed Maj. Gen. (res.) Yaakov Amidror. A little variety and originality wouldn't hurt \u2013 we heard him throughout the week on various media channels. We've had our fill.<\/p>\r\n

8.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The family went a little overboard when they concluded 'Protective Edge' early.<\/p>\r\n

\""The second week of Protective Edge proved that what was is what will be. Pay attention: five years, three operations and zero results," they stated there.<\/p>\r\n

Is there no way to wait for the end of the operation with the summaries?<\/p>\r\n

And in general, there's nothing like people who haven't seen an army from the inside in their own days (and aren't military reporters, there's one in the family and I certainly don't argue with his military theories), handing out 'military' advice.<\/p>\r\n

9.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

I agree with the insight, also the fruit of a family letter, according to which Yisrael Beytenu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman sent his "own" minister, a member of his party, Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch, to support the ceasefire in a vote in the government, while he opposes it. Being with, feeling without. Making sure that the ceasefire is accepted, but allowing yourself to continue to speak pathetically in the various studios about how the fighting must not stop.<\/p>\r\n

One of the operational tactical options that only Yisrael Beitenu allows you to do.<\/p>\r\n

Speaking of field reports, this time, contrary to what is generally accepted, the weeklies disappointed, and the dailies surprised.<\/p>\r\n

In Beted Ne'eman, it was the field reporter who set foot in the southern settlements; day by day \u2013 with a journey from Netivot to the Gaza perimeter (particularly successful, as mentioned).<\/p>\r\n

On the other hand, in a community with a collection of PR articles (boring to me, for those interested - thousands of apologies) - tenders in Harish, an attorney with a wealth of advice, Clalit, Meuhedet Hirom, MDA, ZAKA, Ihud Hatzalah.<\/p>\r\n

And a family, with one article (relative to the family, very sparse) in the field, with kashrut supervisors (what can be done, this also smells quite a bit like advertising). I was disappointed.<\/p>\r\n
