What didn't they say about him? That he was unstable, that he didn't support canceling the nuclear agreement, that he did support canceling the agreement with Erdogan, that he even visited the Western Wall, in the name of God, with a kippah and a tallit.<\/p>\r\n

How is it possible that hundreds of people are rummaging through Lapid's Facebook page to find his exact wording regarding the reconciliation agreement with Erdogan, and not to mention the Prime Minister's changing, not to mention embarrassing, statements regarding his commitment to 'establishing a Palestinian state'? Why is every tweet by the Yesh Atid chairman elevated to the arena of historical accuracy while Gabbay's statements regarding the Jewishness of leftists almost never receive any attention?<\/p>\r\n
Lapid constantly attacks the prime minister and is accused of 'trying to build on Netanyahu's hatred and disgust.' But, that is his job, by definition.<\/p>\r\n
Yair Lapid is a politician who aspires to lead the country. You can love him, you can certainly not tolerate him. But the attitude towards him must be decent and, above all, that word again, intelligent.<\/p>\r\n
What is the measure of intellect that allows one to understand that a quote, Every quote<\/strong>, of a great rabbi, a public figure, a politician or your mother-in-law, must come with the full context of the text? Why do so many sin with such superficiality? Bringing up old texts, lacking context and a full framework, by a man who wrote miles of words in his life gives a strong feeling of an organized and funded campaign against the man.<\/p>\r\n But even the results of such a campaign, according to its organizers, are not intelligent.<\/p>\r\n Indeed, an almost identical advertising campaign was conducted, in Yedioth Ahronoth for example, in the months leading up to March 2015 against a man named Benjamin Netanyahu.
