Have you heard of the 'Secular Forum'? Neither have I. It is doubtful that anyone other than its two members knows about its existence.<\/p>\r\n
But they exist, it turns out. And they're trying, under the table, to try to make headlines.<\/p>\r\n
This week, between crab hunting and rabbit eating, the committee members decided to gather and protest the "religiousization" of state educational institutions. At the end of the gathering, the committee members conveyed their message to the media, which of course were happy to take part in the struggle that began back in the days of Esau in Rebecca's womb. They contacted the Ministry of Education and even received a response.<\/p>\r\n
But we are not yet too late.<\/p>\r\n
Their main problem, as parents, is the feelings of inferiority that their children will feel when they grow up and realize that they are actually as far away as the East is from the West, from the same Judaism they were taught about in school. The truth? A valid and justifiable fear.<\/p>\r\n
And this is what the parents said to the media: "There is a problem with proportions. Today, there is an infiltration of religious texts in all subjects. In geography, we learn the 'prayer for rain', and in road safety - the 'prayer for the road.'".<\/p>\r\n
And if that's not enough, the parents add another, shocking layer to their claim: "There are also a lot of religious texts in language classes.".<\/p>\r\n
Wow. Absolutely horrifying.<\/p>\r\n
When they are asked, however, where the problem is in the study of biblical and religious texts, they respond without hesitation: "The main problem is that our children are made to feel inferior in terms of values. Then, beyond the difficulty with the imbalance in the amount of religion that has entered the school, there is also a difficulty with the nature of this teaching, which is very religious and very condescending. The message to our children is: You are wrong, and you need to change; become more religious. This is done in a very direct and offensive way." (The quote is accurate, the errors are in the original).<\/p>\r\n
Now that they understand and know what the problem is, the parents also know what the solution is: "We demand an end to the religiousization of the secular education system, and to make room for the broad and full world of content that secularism offers. We demand the establishment of a state secular education stream that can protect itself from the religiousization trend of the education system.".<\/p>\r\n
No less. Just as there should be a religious state framework, and to distinguish it from 'independent education,' two members of the 'Secular Forum' demand that the Ministry of Education establish a 'secular state' educational institution, recognize it, and budget for it.<\/p>\r\n
The Ministry of Education responded: "The State of Israel is a Jewish and democratic state. The education system operates in light of these principles.".<\/p>\r\n
Someone nice is sitting there, in the barge.<\/p>\r\n

Let's skip the laughing and sneering phase for a moment, we've had enough of that. Let's try to deal with the excellent argument presented by the poor parents, who fear, God forbid, that their sons will feel inferior when they grow up, and worse, that they are being introduced and taught religious passages, which, God forbid, could one day lead them to repent.<\/p>\r\n
Terrible, they are endangering the truth.<\/p>\r\n
They want to establish a secular education stream. And that's the whole problem.<\/p>\r\n
Because there is actually no such thing. There is no such animal. No songwriter, writer, or publicist has ever been able to write these couplets without being considered a fool.<\/p>\r\n
\""Secularism" in essence is the greatest antithesis to the concept of "education." Secularism is the unburdening and liberation of all restraint, it is the lack of self-control and the objectification of emptiness. "Education" is the opposite of the entire long list that defines what secular is.<\/p>\r\n
There is no such thing as educating for secularism. Want to raise a secular child? Just don't educate him. He will grow up exactly as you expect, unbridled and free from any burden.<\/p>\r\n
Even today, when the situation is seemingly quite alarming, in state education, at least according to the horrifying data that is published about religion and the acquisition of religious texts, even today, all parents admit, secretly and openly, that if they do not educate their children at home, they will grow up as animals of prey, and their hand will be close to violence and killing, God forbid.<\/p>\r\n
And even then, when they are ostensibly educated, they are in fact empty, half-tamed vessels. Restraint and self-control are not in their nature, they exist only thanks to the fear of royalty and the teaching of society.<\/p>\r\n
Otherwise, everyone would have bled to death on the streets of Tel Aviv.<\/p>\r\n
Education is only possible by instilling Jewish values \u200b\u200bin their entirety. An ultra-Orthodox child never goes through an 'educational series'; he simply grows up in the lap of Halacha and Torah, and they are what shape his personality and build within him a new and moral nature, that of a cultured person.<\/p>\r\n
A secular parent, on the other hand, can tame his grown son, and instill in him habits for the moment of action. Habits that fade in an instant, when lust or anger crosses the minimum threshold, like that cat of Rabbi Yonatan Aibishits.<\/p>\r\n
In these moments, the true person, or rather the true animal, is revealed.<\/p>\r\n
