In those days, it never occurred to us writers to tell a story about a woman leaving the grocery store with a bag in her hand. What bag? Who had bags? Since when did bags rustle in a lady's hand?<\/p>\r\n
But days passed. Rustling plastic bags replaced the old baskets.<\/p>\r\n
And today there are those who are old enough to remember the ancient sights of a lady with baskets from their own lives, and there are those who remember things only from the pictures in books.<\/p>\r\n
And now, like any blessed and beautiful invention, which at first is enthusiastic about and begins to consume it to an extreme extent and finally betrays it and tries to throw it down the drain (see the value of the iPhone and industrial food products), so too are these bags. One day they discovered that the most important invention in the world - the invention of rustling bags - had become an abomination. From now on, the use of bags must be eradicated and returned to ancient times, to the days of baskets that were distributed to consumers.<\/p>\r\n
Another option, as is now being demanded, is - pay<\/strong> For the bags.<\/p>\r\n But we fail to notice that along with the welcome change in the invention of nylon, there has also been a welcome or less welcome change in the field of consumption.<\/p>\r\n In homes where two people and a dog live, the grocery basket is enough to hold everything purchased.<\/p>\r\n You can see this in the shopping we do at Mega or similar food chains, where the floor looks crystal clear and the cabinets - the milk and cheese refrigerators - are shiny and transparent.<\/p>\r\n In these places, people fill a cart with one 0% milk, two yogurts with fruit, brown bread, and a healthy snack and go to the checkout.<\/p>\r\n We can imagine how those who frequent these food chains pull out the grocery basket they brought with them to shop, and put all their purchases inside, into the basket, without anything sticking out.<\/p>\r\n It's harder to imagine how a father of a large family who went into Rami Levy or Osher Ad today, and left with two carts full of bottles of oil, sugar, flour, mini sweets, bags of milk, several five percent cheeses, boxes of tomato paste and a pile of tissue bags \u2013 left the supermarket with a basket in his hand. Even five baskets won't begin to scratch the surface of consumption.<\/p>\r\n The same people who fill two or three baskets are also the same people who travel by car and can place the baskets in it, or even, in the worst case, place the shopping in bulk.<\/p>\r\n The people who happily fill fifty bags can't always pour the produce directly into their car. They carry eleven bags each on the bus or in a shuttle, with the help of their five children. I don't see how they will easily, quickly, and efficiently pour the products, instead of into bags, directly into a taxi, and how when they get home and have to go up to the third or fourth floor, they will carry their purchases in bulk, because you have to pay for a bag.<\/p>\r\n Those who will pay the dozens of agoras that will climb in an instant and reach several shekels will be the people who don't have a car, who struggle with every shekel, who buy basic products in bulk, in order to give their ten children the basic food they are used to.<\/p>\r\n So maybe this law should only be directed at those who can manage with baskets? That is, at those whose quantity they buy can fit into the basket?<\/p>\r\n Maybe the law should apply to those who can plan their purchases, and plan to take the baskets from home to the store, without someone disturbing their peace of mind by nodding and tugging at their dresses, like the children we know from families with many children?<\/p>\r\n And perhaps, in general, the plan's thinkers should have calculated that instead of using supermarket bags for household trash cans (as most people do, recyclers!) - people would have to purchase trash bags specifically for trash.<\/p>\r\n \u00a0So, in essence, in terms of air pollution, the same number of bags will be used, only not at the expense of the writer, but at the expense of the purchaser, and if so, what good did the sages do by correcting them?<\/p>\r\n And in general, as long as the world is filled with more and more disposable plastic products every day, will the reduction in these plastic bags bring salvation? And perhaps after it, we will be given glass plates like the ones we once had, and will the order of disposable plates be eliminated?<\/p>\r\n Well, in the meantime, we will gratefully accept the baskets that are given to us for free on the occasion of the launch of the project, we will leave them at home, because who even remembers to take them with us when we go shopping next?
