Phone call round<\/strong><\/p>\r\n The online protest gained momentum and its results were visible just hours after it was published.<\/p>\r\n The student who posted the news that sparked the protest says, "Yesterday afternoon, I received a call from the Ono Academic Campus to inform me that every student would be asked whether they wanted their name to be published in full." Another student writes: "This morning, Ono made another round of phone calls to its graduates to try to minimize the damage to our honor, how ridiculous.".<\/p>\r\n Despite the campus's attempt to calm the storm, the students say that the administration made it clear that there are newspapers that refuse to publish a full name, and therefore only the first letter will be published, or the graduate's name will be omitted altogether at her option. Another argument that was heard explains that the very question is insulting: Why shouldn't a woman's name be published in full in a diplotal manner?<\/p>\r\n \""A woman's right is that her name be registered like any other graduate. Anyone who thinks or feels differently and is uncomfortable with the publication is entitled to request that their name not be published," writes one of the participants in the discussion.<\/p>\r\n What is the difference between a court and a conference?<\/b><\/b><\/p>\r\n The allegations of gender discrimination at the Haredi center are not new and have become a trend in recent times. For example, Haredi female students say that at the graduation ceremony they were treated "shamefully": they were gathered in a small separate room and were not even allowed to speak. "If we can stand and argue in court," one student wonders, "can't we participate or speak at the ceremony?" When important conferences are organized, they are held mainly on "men's" days, that is, on dates when the campus is populated only by men.<\/p>\r\n When the students approached the administration about this, they received a response that "the women themselves are not interested in participating in such conferences, perhaps due to a lack of free time.".<\/p>\r\n A student who spoke to Haredim10 rejects this explanation and points out that at another conference, to which Sivan Rahav Meir and Shelly Yachimovitz were invited, there was a full female presence.
