Dear friends,<\/b><\/p>\r\n

In the worldly practice, it is common to think that the wording of the prayer for three legs is the same for all three. With forgiveness and pardon, I would like to reflect a little on this insight.<\/p>\r\n

Not only that, each of the three habits has a part of the "Day of Judgment," as we recently learned in the daily Daf Yomi in Tractate Rosh Hashanah (on Passover, the grain is discussed, on the assembly, the fruits of the tree, and on the holiday (Sukkot) the water is discussed).<\/p>\r\n

Well, dear friends, it is clear to us that the essence of the Shavuot text is the 'Akademut' piyut that made waves not only on Simchat Torah in the reading of the 'authorities' (Chatan Torah and Chatan Bereishit), but also in the Kiddush text of the Three Legs and Rosh Hashanah.<\/p>\r\n

The piyyut of the 'Akademut' was composed by Rabbi Meir Shatz, born in the 11th century, a contemporary of the holy Rashi, and some say that he also composed the 'Hasarasah', although some dispute this.<\/p>\r\n

I would like to see in the Akademiks a central text that is 'branched' to it in the layers of the text of the Sabbaths and the festivals of the year.<\/p>\r\n

First, the rest and the final verse in the Akademoth piyoot are virtually identical to those in the Torah reading for the High Holy Days. The rest ends on the fundamental note of the scale, and the end of the verse ends on a tone lower.<\/p>\r\n

But that's not all, there is also a connection between the Akademi and the Shabbat Mincha prayer (in the first part of the first sentence, opposite the end of the first motif of the Shabbat Mincha), this stems from the fact that King David ascended to heaven on Shabbat afternoon, which was the eve of Shavuot.<\/p>\r\n

We also see that the wording of the Akademi is based on musical repetition, and apparently so in the closing and rain prayers, although in these two prayers (and of course the dew prayer) the repetition is more extensive.<\/p>\r\n

\"\u05db\u05ea\u05d5\u05d1\u05d4<\/a><\/p>\r\n

But there is another hidden connection between the Akademi and the text of the prayer for the High Holy Days, this time to the Shacharit prayer. If we take the first half of a verse from the Akademi and connect it to the second part of the melody that precedes "On a high and exalted throne," we get a cohesive and impressive melody.<\/p>\r\n

Indeed, scholars of Jewish music saw the 'Akademut', Geshem-Tal, Ne'ila, and 'Kol Nidrei' as high points in the text of the prayer. It is no coincidence that they are the 'Akademut' and the 'Kol Nidrei'. We do not know who wrote them, but we know that the Akademut is a 'Sinai text.' Some have written that this poem was written on the eve of the First Crusade, in order to encourage the spirit and strengthen the faith of the Jewish communities.<\/p>\r\n

And finally, if we pay attention, it seems that the central parts, both in the closing, in Geshem - Tal, and in 'Akademut', are built from musical 'steps' and not from 'jumps', while the opening phrases have 'jumps' and not necessarily 'successive steps.' We will leave the philosophical explanation for this for another time, but there certainly is one.<\/p>\r\n

The gradual ascent or descent is a fundamental part of the Jewish prayer system. See, for example, the melody of 'Veh Kohanim' in the Yom Kippur work order, or the melody of 'Kedusha' on the High Holy Days (Mosef R. and all the prayers on Yom Kippur), or for example the melody that opens the night of Rosh Hashanah.<\/p>\r\n

We learned about the melody of the "Kedushah" because while the people of Israel say "Kedushah," and especially when they say "Kedush, Holy, Holy," the angels ascend steps. The step of the heel on the thumb side has in it a measure of humility and modesty in walking with your God. The jump at the beginning has in it a kind of "Prepare for your God, Israel," and what better time is there to "Prepare for your God, Israel," since these are the days of judgment and the time of the giving of the Torah.<\/p>\r\n

Let us pray to the One who sits on high that we may be worthy to receive the Torah out of true song and joy, and out of unity of love between one man and his brother, and of course between us and God, blessed be He, as "one man with one heart," and that we may fulfill in us what God, blessed be He, says: "And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.".<\/p>\r\n
