{"id":263018,"date":"2016-03-15T10:10:59","date_gmt":"2016-03-15T08:10:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ch10.co.il\/?p=263018"},"modified":"2016-03-15T23:51:18","modified_gmt":"2016-03-15T21:51:18","slug":"%d7%9e%d7%94-%d7%9c%d7%9b%d7%94%d7%9f-%d7%91%d7%aa%d7%95%d7%9b%d7%9b%d7%99-%d7%94%d7%a8%d7%a9%d7%aa%d7%95%d7%aa-%d7%97%d7%91%d7%a8%d7%aa%d7%99%d7%95%d7%aa-%e2%80%a2-%d7%98%d7%95%d7%a8%d7%94-%d7%a9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ch10.co.il\/en\/news\/263018\/","title":{"rendered":"What to do within social networks?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"RTL\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">I must admit that a gathering of devout men with beards who are coming down on their waists, for the purpose of learning the secrets of social networks, seemed strange and illogical to me at first glance. <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">But as the lecturers delved deeper into the content and drew the attention of the men and the hearts of the women (in complete separation, of course) to the intricacies of the Internet and the possibilities inherent in it, I realized what I had known for a long time.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">I realized, or rather internalized, that the way to reach the hearts of millions of Jews simultaneously, through social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp, is fast, easy, and agile, and as it turned out in that lecture, it doesn&#039;t cost a penny.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">In the fascinating lecture attended by Chabad activists and activities, shluhim and shlichut from all over the country, I was exposed to the tremendous power of &#039;Chabad in the media&#039;. There are seven million residents in Israel. Four million of them are online. Yes. In Hebrew! This means that through the Internet, it is possible to reach four million men and women at any given moment.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">Imagine, a messenger or messenger in any settlement, able to reach a maximum of one hundred people in a month. There are 300 or more Chabad houses in Israel. Assuming that each Chabad house reaches an average of one hundred people, Chabad houses manage to reach the hearts of 300,000 people.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">'&#039;Chabad in the Media&#039;, which is already showing impressive numbers on the pages it manages on social media, wants to reach a million Jews. At least a million Jews here in the Holy Land.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">This is the reason for the gathering in which the professionals of &#039;Chabad in the Media&#039; presented the tools available to Chabad emissaries and activists on social media.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">'&#039;Chabad in Media&#039; was established during the &#039;Protective Edge&#039; war. The team that established the site acquired extensive knowledge in managing and driving social networks and is constantly accompanied by rabbis from Chabad rabbis. The goal of Chabad in Media is to be a hub and address for every Jew in the social media space.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">The official Chabad page in the media has over 30,000 followers and is growing at a dizzying pace.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">One of the methods presented by Chabad emissaries in the media, through which it is possible to reach wide audiences, is the creation of viral messages. &quot;When a hundred Chabad houses share a post on our page, a pyramid of exposure will be created,&quot; said the professional at the extraordinary gathering.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">It is clear that when a person sees a video with Jewish content that has been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people, it is much more efficient and effective than viewing a post that has been viewed by a few dozen or hundreds.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">In other words: I learned how technological innovations can be harnessed to spread Judaism, even in the age of social media. It was worth it!<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>On women&#039;s rights<\/b><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">On International Women&#039;s Day, which was also the 28th of Adar, I chose to zoom in on my home, my family, and myself. Instead of zooming out and going outside, I preferred to do what is expected of a daughter of Israel \u2013 to focus on the &#039;inside&#039;. &quot;All the glory of a daughter of a king, inside.&quot;.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">I preferred this to media platforms where women stood and shouted rusty slogans of justice and equality.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">Pay attention to the word and teaching about spreading Jewish messages and not a zoom out to the stages where women stood and shouted for justice and equality. Instead of being there \u2013 outside \u2013 I sat down to study the Rebbe\u2019s words about feminism.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">More than half a jubilee ago, on the 20th of Adar 5789, members of the board of the Jewish Federations and the United Jewish Fund came to visit the Rebbe. They were headed by the president, Ms. Tishman, who was elected to the position thanks to the Rebbe&#039;s blessing.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">The Rebbe told her the following: &quot;Don&#039;t give up on women&#039;s rights. Although you are in the minority here,&quot; the Rebbe referred to the fact that most members of the federations&#039; board are men, &quot;but the Jewish people are also a minority in the world.&quot;.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">The Lubavitcher Rebbe followed in the footsteps of his father-in-law, the Rebbe of Rayatz. He saw the female &#039;revolution&#039; as a sign of redemption and encouraged women to establish their own frameworks, in which they would express their abilities and uniqueness. The Rebbe saw women as partners in the burden of spreading Judaism. All of this, of course, while adhering to the strictest standards of modesty.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">In the Rebbe&#039;s view, women have a special privilege in that they are the ones who pass on the tradition from generation to generation, and there is no room here to elaborate on the words of Chazal about women and their responsibilities.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">Therefore, my Women&#039;s Day was a day for me and my family. Actually, think about it, for those who observe Torah and mitzvot, there is no day that is not Women&#039;s Day. The duty to honor the mother and the duty to honor the woman does not apply to just one day a year.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>On counting and blessing<\/b><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">This week&#039;s Torah passage proves to us once again that each of us has the ability to influence. No one is too &quot;small&quot; to influence. Interesting. After all, our sages, whose memory is blessed, stated that &quot;the blessing lies only in what is hidden from sight.&quot;.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">Why, then, did Moses choose to count and reveal publicly with a committee the amounts donated to the Tabernacle?<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">However, when the Sefirah is performed by Moses, it brings with it the continuation of the Shekhinah to the Mishkan, and in turn to the entire people of Israel, and extends to them an unlimited blessing, such as the inspiration of the Shekhinah in the Mishkan (&quot;The place of the ark is not sufficient&quot;).<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">Halacha states that it is forbidden to count Jews, even for the sake of holiness, but only by means of a verse. Why? Because a verse is the &quot;Torah of Moses,&quot; the same Moses our Lord whose counting brings a blessing. Which verse should one choose in order to count Jews?<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">In the past, they used to use the verse, &quot;And I, in the abundance of Your grace, will come to Your house, I will bow down to Your holy temple in Your fear.&quot; This is written in the book &quot;Hapardes,&quot; attributed to the holy Rashi. This is due to the fact that this verse has ten stanzas.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"RTL\">In recent generations, the verse &quot;Save your people and bless your inheritance and raise them up to the end of time&quot; has been used.
