Are you hot, eh?<\/p>\r\n
This week, and the one to come, are shaping up to be the hottest days in the country's history since measurements began.<\/p>\r\n
Old and wise people will try to explain to you that it has always been hot, and only humans have become spoiled. Little scientists will probably explain to you about the alarming global warming that is putting the universe on the brink of extinction (tell us about it..), while the thin wise men will convince you that the air conditioning motors located on the front of buildings are the ones that are heating the streets to an unbearable level.<\/p>\r\n
The heat is exhausting. There's no denying that.<\/p>\r\n
People, even those who are normative by nature, lose their minds on hot, scorching days, and passersby imagine giant ice cream coolers, hoping to bury their heads there on their hats and glasses.<\/p>\r\n
Trips are postponed, vacation camps are canceled, gardens are deserted and the streets are empty. The heat, it turns out, is much stronger than the urge to shop and wander.<\/p>\r\n
Jerusalem residents went the extra mile by 'training' their home air conditioners for the first time even at night, and they also added to the updated Electricity Company graph, which shows the summer of 2015 as the leader in electricity consumption ever.<\/p>\r\n
Churches and seminaries, which usually offer air conditioning services at a nominal price, while making loud beeps (!) for the last two minutes of operation, in the hope that someone will come along and slip a few more shekels into the 'machine of the gods' - even there they understood the seriousness of the times and the plight of the worshippers, and canceled the obligation to pay for the air conditioners for a few days.<\/p>\r\n
Even the bank corridors, which are usually dark, are suddenly filled with time-poor people who are in no hurry to go anywhere, and just want to stand for a while and feel the coolness, before returning to the sweltering street under the scorching sun.<\/p>\r\n

It is indeed hot.<\/p>\r\n
But in all this heat stress, in these terrible moments of severe headache, of 'drumming' in the center of the forehead from the heat, did we look up for one small moment and say thank you?<\/p>\r\n
Has the necessary understanding, that the sun is led by a single and unique person, in the directions of sunrise and in the intensity of the ascendants, ever crossed our minds for a moment?<\/p>\r\n
We, my children of believers, believe that there is not a single thing, no matter how small and insignificant, that takes place here in this world without the direct instruction of the Creator of the world. A bird does not chirp, a cow does not moo, and the sun does not shine a thousand times higher or lower than the King of kings commanded it to.<\/p>\r\n
Thirty-eight point seven degrees were measured last night in the capital? Bingo! That's exactly what the Creator of the world wanted at that time and in that moment.<\/p>\r\n
Crossed the forty mark? Perfect! This is God's will, after all.<\/p>\r\n
Truth must be told, this text before you was written under a powerful air conditioner and in sane weather. But the writer of the lines also found himself under a scorching sun, three minutes before drying out. The above-signed also failed to think of anything, in the warm rays of midday, beyond ways to access cool, refreshing water.<\/p>\r\n
And here's the problem.<\/p>\r\n
We tend too often to look at the stick and not the blow. To look at the dog that bites and not at the one who sent it.<\/p>\r\n
Thoughts these days are limited to searching for a shady place and trying to survive, not at all to observing the natural phenomenon, and even less so to the one who created it.<\/p>\r\n
That's exactly the point, my dear, the sun is here and in full force, and for good reason.<\/p>\r\n
Are we too hot? This summer is hotter than other days and other years? I wonder why.<\/p>\r\n
It is definitely worthwhile and recommended to examine what God's will is in removing the heat from its sheath during these difficult days.<\/p>\r\n
It is definitely worth looking for an answer that will satisfy the beads of sweat dripping from our heads, and not just from our heads. Someone here is sending us warm rays in a precise and calculated manner, straight to our heads and the place between us. And this someone is the king of kings.<\/p>\r\n
So perhaps we won't have a true answer to the fateful question, but it's enough if we understand that there is a question here.<\/p>\r\n
