About a month ago, the country shook and it seemed as if an abyss had risen and engulfed it. In a brutal and brutal terrorist attack carried out by two terrorist brothers, 12 people were murdered in cold blood at the offices of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in the eleventh arrondissement of Paris, the capital of France.<\/p>\r\n

The attack on the newspaper's editorial staff simply because they satirically attacked a religious leader is what brought the masses out into the streets in shock and protest.<\/p>\r\n The attack that marked the opening shot of the Muslim struggle against freedom of expression and European liberalism was like a sword thrust deep into the flesh of the people of the atheist world, who rejoiced at the loss of the free path and the silencing of their mouths in the name of religion.<\/p>\r\n The Western world responded as a deep percentage.<\/p>\r\n It was important for everyone to show and express their protest against what they perceived as the most sacred commandment, 'freedom of speech.'.<\/p>\r\n The next Charlie Hebdo magazine, published about two weeks after the massacre, doubled and tripled its circulation and sold out of stores as a sign of protest and solidarity.<\/p>\r\n The newspaper, which on normal days prints about 60,000 copies, distributed about three million booklets, which were sold that day in France itself alone, which led to the distribution of another two million copies the next day.<\/p>\r\n In Israel, the Stimatzky bookstore chain also announced that it would sell and market the magazine at one of its branches, but after pressure from Islamic elements and Arab Knesset members, the chain announced that the sale would only take place on its website.<\/p>\r\n In response, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman issued a statement that his activists would distribute the pamphlets for free. It was important for everyone to take a side in this terrible story, and in this case, the side of liberalism and freedom of expression was the desired one.<\/p>\r\n \u2022<\/p>\r\n Even among us, the ultra-Orthodox public, the story caused discontent. Even those who challenged the slogan that was circulating in those days, "I'm Charlie too," and expressed their protest against any insults to religious leaders, still completely renounced violence and a terrorist response, even in the case of an attack on a sacred and holy object.<\/p>\r\n \""The act is incomparably serious - but the response also shames those who sent it," were the words heard and said in our districts.<\/p>\r\n Violence, it would seem, is not the way to protest, even when the harm is most severe.<\/p>\r\n Indeed, this has always been the way of ultra-Orthodox Judaism.
