An initial investigation into the incident indicates that a force operating in the Jenin refugee camp conducted a preparatory patrol, in preparation for the establishment of a permanent post within the camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the patrol, the force identified a suspicious object and seconds later the explosion occurred. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is still unclear what caused it to explode and forces on the ground are investigating. One claim is that the officer touched the explosive device that exploded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
