Laud responded to these words and said to the Rosh Yeshiva, "I will therefore write the letter Y of the Ark of the Covenant, Israel, which seals the Torah scroll in the eyes of all Israel.". <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before the delegation left his residence, Rabbi Cohen again strengthened the hands of the leaders of the activists and showered them with blessings for success in their sacred work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before he began writing the letters, the Rebbe said the exact wording that his father, the Rebbe, zt"l, would say before writing. After extensive preparation, he wrote the letters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In the meantime, he sought to strengthen the hands of those engaged in the holy work and the donors through whom all the activity is done, and blessed: "May we merit that the name of the Giver of the Torah may be sanctified before the eyes of all Israel.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n The leaders of the organization also went to the residence of the rabbi, Rabbi Yaakov Meir Shechter, who, despite his weakness and his tiringly busy schedule, expressed his enthusiastic consent to receive the delegation, recalling that in 1950 he had the privilege of participating in the event of "writing letters of the Torah scroll, all the proceeds of which were donated to the mitzvah of redeeming captives.
