The dairy reform submitted by the Minister of Finance will not be enacted together with the 2026 Budget Law, after at the end of a meeting held today by Netanyahu and Smotrich, it was decided that the reform would be separated from the Arrangements Law and would move to a regular legislative process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This means: it is highly doubtful whether there will be the ability to complete it before the announcement of the election date and the dissolution of the Knesset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gafni, who has consistently opposed the reform, said: "The decision to stop the milk reform during the war was correct. It is a responsible and appropriate step at this time. The reform would have harmed the livelihoods of hundreds of farming families, many of whom operate in the border areas and constitute an important part of national resilience.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
