A 19-year-old Israeli man was seriously injured in the head this afternoon (Sunday) in a car-ramming attack at the Jith junction, near the settlement of Kedumim in Samaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rescue forces treated him at the scene, gave him life-saving treatment, and evacuated him to Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The terrorist who carried out the attack was neutralized at the scene. Security forces closed the Huwara highway to traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An initial investigation indicates that an IDF force identified a Palestinian vehicle speeding in their direction and realized that it was an attempt to carry out a car bomb attack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, fire was opened at the terrorist driving the Palestinian vehicle and he was neutralized. It is now being examined whether the young Israeli was also injured as a result of the shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investigation also reveals that the terrorist who carried out the car-ramming attack came from Nablus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
IDF forces are carrying out blockades and checks in Nablus and nearby villages. The Palestinians reported that the IDF has also blocked the entrance to Qalqilya and all the villages along Highway 55, which connects the city to Nablus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kedumim hotline informed residents: The incident at Jit Junction is not a terrorist attack. The details of the incident are being investigated by the IDF. There is an injured person at the scene, but as stated, this is not a shooting attack.
