In a letter sent to the Police Commissioner and the Jerusalem District Commander, the municipality issued an ultimatum that it would take legal action against the police if the use of skunks in populated areas did not stop.

The letter sent by the Jerusalem Municipality's legal counsel stated: "The use of this measure is unreasonable, disproportionate, and causes serious harm to an innocent population, including children, the elderly, and residents who are not involved in the events. As long as the use continues, we will use all legal tools at our disposal to stop the harm to residents."

The municipality claims that the use of skunk has caused serious damage estimated at millions of shekels. "This is a nuisance and a nuisance that significantly harms all residents of the city, who are not at all among the troublemakers."

It was also noted that attempts by the Municipality's Public Health and Sanitation Department to address and reduce the odor damage are not successful, resulting in significant costs to the Municipality.
