The investigating military police have opened an investigation against two soldiers from the Air Force, on suspicion that they allegedly sabotaged several remotely piloted aircraft.
According to a report by Yossi Yehoshua on Ynet, the three were arrested yesterday and brought before a judge, who ordered their detention extended until this coming Sunday.
According to senior IDF officials, this was an especially serious incident that could have led to the downing of those unmanned aerial vehicles.
An IDF spokesperson confirmed the details of the investigation: "The IDF views incidents of this type seriously," while clarifying that "there is no harm to the operational capability of the UAV array."
