Towards an explosion? The Ministry of Education has informed the administrators of seminaries in Jerusalem who refuse to accept Mizrahi female students for the next school year that it will forfeit their ownership of the institution, stop funding, and revoke the institution's license.
According to a report on Channel 13, the Ministry of Education has entered the picture and is threatening to offset budgets and cancel licenses, in light of the refusal of Ashkenazi seminary administrators to integrate girls of Mizrahi origin into their institutions according to Jerusalem Municipality placement lists.
440 female students, most of them of Mizrahi origin, are currently left without an educational framework next year.
Despite the Ministry of Education's ultimatum, Maran Grad Lando calls on seminary administrators not to cooperate.
