Social Equality Minister May Golan responded today (Friday) to what she calls the "hunt against her" - against the backdrop of the decision to investigate her with a warning, following an investigation published on Channel 12 - which attributed to her the unlawful use of funds from an association she founded.

Golan is expected to be investigated on suspicion of bribery, fraud, breach of trust, and filing a false affidavit.

""What a coincidence that on the very day when Miri Regev's 'diamonds' barely turned into gravel, the trumpeters of the legal system are working to leak 'affairs' behind which there is nothing and nothing," said Golan.

According to her, "It's not for nothing that all the investigations focus on the elected representatives of the national camp, from members of Knesset to the Prime Minister, his advisors and his entourage, from Bugs Bunny to submarines and spaceships.".

She added: "The method is already known - the opposing legal advisor to the government jumps on every false 'bargain' when it comes to a right-wing elected official, the seamstress works - and voila: a new investigation.".

""Apart from noise and bells, there is no case here and no offense. There is a legal advisor to the government here who has a conflict of interest and is holding on to her seat at all costs. In the coming weeks we will update why it is suddenly now 'the turn' of Minister of Social Equality May Golan.".

""I thank the public of the national camp for the amazing messages, the moving encouragement and the enormous support I have received in recent hours - and I pledge to continue acting in the name of my truth and in the name of the ideology I represent. I cannot be intimidated and I cannot be bent!""
