As part of a strengthening campaign: The Chief Rabbi Yosef ascended today (Tuesday) to the tent of the Lubavitcher Rebbe zt"l at the Montefiore Cemetery in the Queens borough of New York.
During his visit, the Chief Justice offered a special prayer, together with those present, for the release of the kidnapped, for the success of IDF soldiers, and for the raising of the Torah Foundation of the Torah community in the Land of Israel.
The Chief Rabbi was accompanied by Rabbi Shalom Duchman, the director of 'Kollel Chabad', and the Chabad emissary to Five Town, Rabbi Zalman Volovik.
In his remarks, the Rebbe said: "The Rebbe did not deserve sons to continue his path - he deserved to spread the light of Judaism in every corner of the world through emissaries who sacrifice their lives for every Jew."
"Chabad Chassidus is based on the values of free love. The Rebbe would accept every person with open arms and worked tirelessly to instill this in his disciples scattered throughout the world. Especially in times of division and hatred, we must learn from the Rebbe and his life's work to strengthen free love within us, to love every Jew wherever he is. Rather, let it be in our hearts that we see each of our friends' virtues and not their shortcomings."
