The person murdered in the deadly attack at the Rami Levy complex at the Gush Etzion intersection was Shalio Zevuloni, 22, from Kiryat Arba.
Two Palestinian terrorists attacked him, stabbed him several times and shot him with the gun they had stolen from him. The two terrorists - Palestinian police officers who had taken a police course in Qatar - were killed at the scene by a civilian and a soldier.
G., the citizen who neutralized the terrorist, described in an interview with Channel 12 how he heard the shots while standing in line at the checkout: "Someone entered the supermarket and shouted that there were terrorists outside. I left everything I was doing and immediately ran outside with another fighter who was dressed in civilian clothes.".
He said that the terrorists hid behind a vehicle.
C. and the other fighter fired at them - and managed to neutralize them. "There were a lot of shots, at first we didn't know exactly where they were coming from. Finally, we managed to identify the two terrorists who were hiding - and we eliminated them," he recalled.
Ilan, another eyewitness who was at the scene of the murderous attack, described to Channel 12: "We heard gunshots and people screaming. I went outside with my weapon drawn and saw a gunfight from all directions. They shot a security guard from one of the communities. Miraculously, a bigger disaster didn't happen.".
New details released indicate that the terrorists arrived at the scene in a car and spent 40 minutes searching for parking inside the complex. After they snatched the weapon from the security guard, one of the terrorists tried to enter the supermarket to shoot civilians - but encountered a locked door. One of the terrorists shot the security guard at point-blank range, and there is no doubt that he was killed by the terrorists' gunfire, not by our forces' fire.
The Kiryat Arba-Hebron Council issued a statement of mourning, stating: "The Kiryat Arba Hebron House bows its head and shares in the grief of the Zevuloni family and is devastated by the murder of their son Shalio Zevuloni, a resident of Kiryat Arba Hebron. On behalf of all the residents of the community, we send our sincere condolences to the dear family and embrace them with a warm and enveloping embrace at this difficult time.".
The statement issued by the Gush Etzion Regional Council reads: "The council mourns the murder of Shalev Zevuloni, who was murdered today in the serious attack at the Gush Etzion intersection. We share in the deep sorrow of his family, and embrace his father Shai, a council employee, in his difficult time. The council will continue to accompany the family and assist them in whatever is necessary.".
