Air Force fighter jets attacked this evening (Sunday) and destroyed, under intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Division and the Navy, terrorist infrastructures of the Houthi terrorist regime.
According to an Israeli source, approximately 60 munitions were dropped on Houthi terrorist targets.
Among the terrorist infrastructures targeted in the wave of attacks: the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Issa, and Al-Salif. According to a report in Al-Mayadeen, the Air Force carried out at least 20 "powerful strikes" in Hodeidah.
""These ports are used by the Houthi terrorist regime to transfer weapons of the Iranian regime that are used to carry out terrorist plots against the State of Israel and its allies," said an IDF spokesman.
""The attack was carried out in light of repeated attacks by the Houthi terrorist regime against the State of Israel, its citizens, and civilian infrastructure in the country, including the launch of unmanned aerial vehicles and surface-to-surface missiles towards the territory of the State of Israel.".
""The Houthi terrorist regime exploits maritime space for the exercise of force and terrorist activity against transit and trade ships in global shipping space.".
The statement sent by the IDF spokesman also stated that the targets attacked illustrate the military use made by the Houthi terrorist regime of civilian infrastructure for terrorist purposes.
Among the terrorist targets attacked in the port of Ras Issa, the merchant ship “GALAXY LEADER" was attacked, which the Houthi terrorist regime took over in November 2023. "The Houthi terrorist regime forces installed a radar system on the ship, and are using it to track vessels in international maritime space, in order to promote the activities of the Houthi terrorist regime.".
In addition, the Ras Qantib power plant was attacked, which was used by the Houthi terrorist regime as a significant power supply infrastructure for military activity, and constitutes another example of the Houthi terrorist regime's use of civilian infrastructure.
""The Houthi terrorist regime serves as a central branch of the Iranian regime and in doing so receives funding and weapons for its operations. The Houthi terrorist regime is a partner in Iranian terrorist activity around the world. The IDF is determined to continue to act and strike with force any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel, at whatever distance is required,",
Defense Minister Israel Katz said of the attack: "As part of Operation 'Black Flag,' the IDF has now vigorously attacked terrorist targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the ports of Hodeidah, A-Salif, and Ras Issa, the Ras Qatib power plant, and the ship "Galaxy Leader," which was hijacked by the Houthis about two years ago and is currently being used for terrorist activities in the Red Sea.".
""As I warned: Yemen's law is the same as Tehran's law. Anyone who tries to harm Israel will be harmed, and anyone who raises their hand against Israel will have their hand cut off. The Houthis will continue to pay a heavy price for their actions.".

Not long before the attack, the IDF spokesman in Arabic, Col. Avichai Adraee, issued an evacuation notice for ports in Yemen - in which he wrote: "Urgent warning to those in the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Issa and al-Salif, and to those inside the Hodeidah - Ras al-Khatib power station, which are under the control of the Houthi terrorist regime.
""In the near future, the IDF will carry out attacks in these areas due to military activity taking place there.".
""For your safety, we urge all those present in the marked areas, as well as vessels anchored nearby, to evacuate immediately. Remaining in these areas puts you at risk.".
