A display of bravery and spirit: Sergeant (res.) Ari Spitz was a guest on the "Patriots" program on Channel 14 this evening (Tuesday) - and gave an inspiring interview.

What are the ways to return? Who is given priority in registration? • All information about the way to return to Israel

Spitz, who was critically injured in a bomb explosion in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza and lost his hand and both legs, entered the studio to the applause of the audience, with a smile and optimism that could not be ignored.

During the interview with presenter Yinon Magal and the panel members, Spitz described the long rehabilitation journey, the physical and mental struggles, and his worldview, which has intensified since the injury.

The highlight of his speech, which resonated powerfully, was his answer to a question about his feelings toward the war and the immense sacrifice.

""I did it for something I believe in," he said firmly, adding a clear message to the people of Israel: "Woe to us if there is anyone in the people who thinks this war is not worth it.".

The words of the warrior, who paid an unbearable physical price, emphasized the sense of mission and righteousness of the path that accompanies him and his fellow fighters. He explained that he believes the sacrifice was made for a great and worthy cause, for the defense of the country and its citizens.

""After October 7th, we all understand who we are fighting against," he added.

Spitz also shared his feelings toward the enemy. He noted the stark difference between the support and protection that IDF soldiers and war wounded receive in Israel, and the reality on the other side. "I don't think any wounded Hamas or Hezbollah soldier can stand firm and say that he believes in what he did until the end," he said.

He added on a personal note: "I didn't have to take drugs to do what I did.".

Throughout the interview, Spitz displayed a sense of humor ("If Bibi can come, so can I," he joked) and talked about a personal "checklist" of rehabilitation goals, which he is completing step by step.
