For the first time in the history of the Knesset: The Knesset building hosted, at the initiative of MK Limor Sun Har-Malech and in collaboration with the Lobby for Haredi and Religious Women, the 'Power of Purity' conference - a unique conference on family purity.

Approximately 1,000 women from all over the country participated, in the Knesset hall and live, expressing a renewed connection to the mitzvah and the call to place the issue of purity at the center of the agenda.

The conference was attended by Rebbetzin Tova Eliyahu, president of the Midrash Association and head of Midrash Tekleth, who spoke about the importance of the commandments of purity.

Also, a blessing was broadcast by Rebbetzin Leah Kolodetzky, daughter of Rabbi Kanievsky, zt"l, who emphasized the importance of the commandment of purification as the foundation of the Jewish home - and gave a special blessing to MK Limor Son Har-Malech and the directors of the lobby for Haredi and religious women in the Knesset.

Also participating in the conference were Minister of Heritage Amichai Eliyahu, MK Kati Shitrit, Rabbi Elharar, Rabbi of Modi'in, Dr. Hanna Katan, Dr. Ruth Kabsa, Ruth Leviev, representatives of the organizations Pua Institute, Nesmat, the Association of Community Rabbis, representatives of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and more.

The Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, Chairwoman of the lobby, said: "This is a day of good news. Precisely at a time when our nation is going through shocks - we, the women, stand on the spiritual front. The purity of the family is not just a law - it is a bond, it is a longing, it is the force that holds the Jewish home.""

Anat Gopstein, the lobby's director, added: "'A conference like this in the Knesset is redemption.' Women from all backgrounds reconnect with their roots. Even in turbulent days, purity grows.".

Malkhali Blau Hanuka, director of the lobby, noted: "Purity is not a marginal issue – it is the core of feminine and Jewish identity. The Knesset opened an important gate today, and we will continue to expand it to every home in Israel.""

During the conference, moving personal testimonies were heard, and a demand was expressed for legal and professional regulation of the mikvah sector. According to the lobby directors, there is a real public desire to strengthen accessibility and the respectful feeling surrounding immersion.
