Brigadier General (res.) Ofer Winter published a video last night (Monday) in which he expressed support for the plan presented by Maj. Gen. (res.) Giora Eiland almost a year ago to defeat Hamas and the war in Gaza.

Was your property damaged in an act of hostilities or war? Here's how to easily file an online claim

In the video, Winter attacked the IDF's current conduct in the Gaza Strip: "A decision is not achieved by running from house to house and going over all the charges that the enemy has prepared for us. The endgame should be - there are no Palestinians in Gaza. There is a tremendous opportunity here, both for us and for them, to simply allow them to emigrate.".

He proposed dividing the Strip into three areas and creating crossings through which the population would be moved. "The IDF should have created necessary crossings through which the Palestinians would pass, moved all the population that still remained from the north of the Strip, from Gaza City, to these areas, to a sterile space, and in effect imposed a siege on the entire rest of the northern part of the Strip. Siege - no supplies would enter here. Food would be distributed only here - the south of the Strip. The entire rest of the Strip would be under siege.".

According to him, the residents of Gaza should be allowed to emigrate. "We received the legitimacy from the President of the United States months ago, and instead we are wasting time and continuing to fight a trench war, moving from house to house, this is not how we win this war, this is the most wasteful war there is.".

""What the hell is wrong with us? Why aren't the arrows pointed at immigration?" Winter wondered.

He added: "Right now we're not winning, we're not decisive, and we're not making a prisoner deal. We need to push hard - the entire population should start moving south. This should have been done months ago. Why aren't we going with this relatively simple plan? I don't know. Someone decided not to decide.".

He emphasized: "Just as in Iran it was possible to do what they did, just as in Lebanon it was possible to do what they did. In fact, it is also possible to do it differently here.".
