Maran Hared Lando spoke by phone last night (Sunday) with Maran HaMashigich Gaon Rabbi Dan Segal, and expressed to him rare words of gratitude and appreciation for his dedication and central participation in the fundraising campaign for the 'Keren Olam HaTorah Fund' in the United States.

The overseer, the Grand Rabbi Segal, who was in Switzerland for a rest, complied with the personal request of the Grand Rabbi Landau and joined the journey, despite the difficulty and effort involved.
During the conversation, Maran HaGaradan Lando said: "I heard about the many efforts that the overseer made, in pleading and personally requesting each donor, and, God willing, there is a reward for the labor. The overseer was a faithful messenger of the entire world of Torah.".
According to sources at the Landau House, at every dinner or conference held in the US on behalf of the foundation, the overseer, the Landau Foundation, met with the donors in a closed room for hours. In a personal, warm, and poignant conversation, he opened his heart to them and described the plight of the Torah world and the pressing need.
Within those rooms, the largest commitments were received – large sums that were poured into the fund's coffers.
The presence of the overseer alongside Rosh Yeshiva, the Gradam Hirsch, and the Gradam Cohen, Rosh Yeshiva of Hebron, left a huge impression on the donors and local communities.
The Olam HaTorah Foundation notes that the journey is not over yet. The foundation's leaders are currently working on the following list of goals in order to complete the $150 million goal, of which approximately $80 to $90 million has been collected - depending on which version is adopted.
A few days ago, the heads of the foundation spoke with Maran Landau and requested that he physically participate in the upcoming trip that will take place in the summer, after he was prevented from participating in the current trip due to the war with Iran, which broke out two days before the scheduled departure date.
The Rosh Yeshiva granted their request - and as mentioned, preparations for the next journey are already in full swing.
