The exiled Crown Prince, Reza Pahlavi, son of the last Shah to rule Iran, announced today (Sunday) on the X network that he has launched a secure communications channel, intended for members of the Islamic Republic's security forces and anyone interested in resigning from the ranks of the regime and joining the "Iranian people.".
Pahlavi specifically addressed the members of the Iranian security forces, whose hands are not stained with blood - and called on them: "This is the time to join the people. I pledge that your service to Iran will not only not be forgotten - but will also be honored.".
Following the Israel-Iran war, the Shah's son called for people to take to the streets about a week ago to overthrow the government: "All that is needed now is a nationwide popular uprising to end this nightmare once and for all.".
The internet erupted after the tweet was published: many Iranians echoed his words and supported him. On the other hand, other citizens called him an "enemy," attaching photos of him from his visit to Israel.
