United States President Donald Trump spoke to reporters today (Saturday) as he disembarked from Air Force One in New Jersey about the war with Iran, saying: "Israel is succeeding in war, Iran is less so. It's hard to make those who succeed stop, those who lose - it's easier.".
Trump said he was right when he claimed that Iran has "a huge amount of uranium. I think within weeks, or certainly within months, they could have a nuclear weapon. We cannot allow that to happen.".
Regarding the announcement that he would decide within two weeks whether his country would attack Iran, he replied: "We'll see what happens in that period of time, but I'm giving them a period of time, and I would say that two weeks would be the maximum.".
The American president was also asked about Israel's ability to eliminate all of Iran's nuclear facilities - and replied: "Their military said that, but in practice they have a very limited capability. They can break through a small section, but they can't go very deep. They don't have that capability, and we'll have to see what happens. Maybe it won't be necessary.".
The American president was asked if he was worried that Iran would attack American targets, in the event of American military action in Iran - and he replied: "We are always concerned about that, and we have to eliminate them and be very determined. You are even in danger right now as you talk to me. Do you know that? You are in danger as you talk to me right now. So maybe I should get out of here. But you are really in danger. Do you get it?""
