Maran HaGard Landau gave a special talk today (Sunday) on the occasion of the war with Iran - and emphasized the importance of caution in these days.

""There is a duty of diligence, and there are laws of pikuach nefesh, it is obligatory to be very careful with the instructions, and it is forbidden to be lenient with this," said the Rosh Yeshiva. "This is an obligation from the Torah of 'and you shall be very careful with your souls,' and we say in the name of the Maran Rabbi of Brisk zt"l that by fulfilling the obligation of 'and you shall be careful with your souls,' the Holy One, blessed be He, brings salvation.".

""There is one more thing I want to say: It is completely forbidden to go out and look at interesting sights related to war, because this is considered like putting oneself in a dangerous place, which is explained in the Gemara in blessings that remind one of one's sins.

""And besides that, what is this? A play?! A yeshiva student should study and pray that no disaster will happen! How can one go out at a time like this just for irresponsible, thoughtless and dangerous curiosity?! This is not the way of a yeshiva student.".
