Strauss announced today (Thursday) another price increase for its products - which will take effect on July 1.
The increase will be, among other things, in the prices of coffee and chocolate products.
This is the second time in two months that Strauss has announced a price increase.
The price of Elite snacks in a family pack will increase by 9%, the price of instant coffee will increase by 8%, and Turkish coffee by 5%.
The price of cocoa powder and chocolate bars will jump by 16%.
The company justified the decision by the increase in wave prices.
A statement from the company said: "We would like to inform you that following the continued increase in coffee and cocoa prices by up to 49% in the past six months, Strauss is announcing a price update for retailers on some of the chocolate and coffee products affected by the increase in raw material prices.".
The company further stated: "The price increase will apply to approximately 15% of the company's products, and it partially compensates for the costs of raw materials, the price of which has soared. In the past six months, the price of cocoa has increased by approximately 49% and the price of coffee beans has increased by 9%-40%.".
According to the company, "the update is at an average rate of approximately 2.1% of all the company's products.".
