In the clip, the elephant is seen approaching the water, noticing the young Ofer having difficulty getting out, and after waiting a while, he extended his trunk and pulled him out.
The video went viral, as expected, and received tens of thousands of likes.
Many surfers praised the elephant for its sensitivity and compassion.
