Yesterday, Democratic Party Chairman Yair Golan confronted a Kiryat Shmona resident who called on him to leave the city.
The man called to Golan, "Lower your ranks" - and in response, Golan 'raised his hands' and violently pushed him away, until a police officer separated the two.
Minister of the Negev, Galilee and National Resilience Yitzhak Wasserlauf of Otzma Yehudit took a dig at Golan on his X account - tweeting: "I will also be at my home in Kiryat Shmona this coming Saturday. I will go around the various communities, meet the residents and the dear mayor, Avichai Stern. I promise not to raise a hand against anyone.".
MK Moshe Kinley (Tur-Paz) from the Yesh Atid party responded to him: "It's hard for me to do this because of your extremist party, but I have to compliment you. There is not one of those I visited in the north who doesn't praise you for your dedicated and professional work. A very serious minister.".
