The United States Department of Justice filed a federal indictment today (Thursday) against Elias Rodriguez, 31, of Chicago, accused of murdering two employees of the Israeli Embassy in Washington - Yaron Lisinsky and Sarah Milgram - outside the National Jewish Museum in Washington, DC.

Rodriguez was charged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia with murder of foreign public servants, causing death by firearm, and discharging a firearm "in the course of a violent crime." He was also charged with two counts of first-degree murder under the Washington, D.C., criminal code, and weapons offenses.

According to the security cameras, the terrorist opened fire on the two while standing behind them and approached them after they fell - and continued firing from close range and repeatedly confirmed the kill, as the late Sarah tried to crawl away. The killer shot at her until she stopped moving.

Investigators found a 9mm pistol and 21 spent shell casings at the scene where the shooting took place.

According to the indictment, he flew from Chicago to Washington the day before, with the weapon hidden in his suitcase.

In footage of Rodriguez's arrest, he is seen shouting "Free Palestine." According to an eyewitness who spoke to the killer, who entered the museum in a daze after the shooting, Rodriguez shouted: "I did it. Free Palestine. I did it for Gaza," and pulled out a red Jordanian keffiyeh.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi said: "This brutal anti-Semitic violence has no place in our country or anywhere else in civilization," she said. "We will follow the facts and ensure the harshest possible punishment for the perpetrator of this horrific crime, which robbed two wonderful young people of a bright future together.".
