Legal Advisor to the Prime Minister, Gali Baharav Mayara, published tonight (Friday night) the affidavit for the petition claiming that she has a conflict of interest regarding Shin Bet head Ronen Bar and former Shin Bet head Nadav Argaman.

In her response, the legal advisor stated that "she is not and has not been a friend of Mr. Argaman or Mr. Bar at any stage, and is not and has not been personally close to them" - and therefore, according to her, she is not placed in a conflict of interest.

According to the legal advisor, between her husband, who worked for many years in the Shin Bet, and Nadav Argaman and Ronen Bar, there were only professional relationships, the extent of which she does not know, but she clarifies that "there were no friendly ties between the families, and the families did not spend time together.".

The answer details the current condition of her husband, who has been seriously ill for about 20 years.

She said that her husband's close friends visit him frequently and dine with him, but Nadav Argaman and Ronen Bar do not belong to this group. She added that although he received several visits from senior Shin Bet officials, including the head of the Shin Bet, these visits were "isolated and sporadic.".

As for the visits of the two, "to the best of her knowledge," these were visits out of organizational commitment to the employees, and not out of friendly relations.

However, media personality Moti Castel reported on Channel 14 that, contrary to the attorney general's statements, her brother-in-law Rafi Miara has on several occasions praised former Shin Bet chiefs, writing, for example: "A huge thank you to Nadav Argaman for his support of Zion, our brother, with whom they served and fought terror for many years." Another quote reads: "Yuval Diskin and Nadav Argaman, who have been accompanying him for many years in his severe and cursed illness" - things that contradict Baharav Miara's statements.

The petition filed against the attorney general claims that she has a conflict of interest regarding Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, following "personal friendships that have lasted for decades" between Bar and Rabbi Meyara.

About two weeks ago, Minister Amichai Shikli, following the publications according to which the IDF is seeking to open an investigation against him in the Shin Bet agent A affair, sent a harsh letter to the legal advisor in which he accused her of a conflict of interest following the relationship between her husband and Ronen Bar.

""It is no secret that your husband served in the organization for many years and was forced to end his service due to serious medical circumstances," Shikley wrote, adding: "The outgoing head of the service, Bar, and other members of the service accompanied her husband "over a long period.".

About a week and a half ago, Supreme Court Judge Noam Solberg ordered the attorney to submit an affidavit to the court within 9 days in which she would address the serious allegations made against her - and detail the nature of the personal connections between her and the acting head of the Shin Bet, Ronen Bar, and former Shin Bet chief, Nadav Argaman.
