The indictment accuses the defendant of committing offenses of contacting a foreign agent, providing information to the enemy with the intent to harm state security, and more.

Attias was asked, among other things, to monitor and film Naftali Bennett's security arrangements while he was hospitalized.

According to the indictment, Itas contacted Iranian intelligence agents through the Telegram app and received various tasks from them to perform, which included documenting the collection of sensitive information and documenting public places.

In April 2025, Naftali Bennett was hospitalized in the cardiac ward at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. Atias was asked to travel to Raanana, from where he was sent to Kfar Saba.

The Iranian operator instructed Atias over the phone on how to get to the ward where Bennett was hospitalized. Under the guidance of the Iranian agent, Atias documented Bennett's hospitalization floor, the security arrangements around him, and tried to locate his room number. During his stay there, he even posed as someone visiting a relative in an attempt to bypass security in order to photograph Bennett's room, but was stopped by a security guard.

In addition, he was tasked with filming the hospital's access routes and making detailed drawings of the security arrangements. The defendant complied with the agent's request and sent him a partial drawing of the floor, indicating the location of the elevator, the entrance to the ward, and the location of the guards on site.

He also reported that the guards were dressed in gray clothing and that they were armed with weapons.

Atias sent his operators a precise mapping of Bennett's location. "We understand that this is part of the ongoing attempt to create as broad an intelligence infrastructure as possible in order to hit facilities and carry out high-ranking assassinations on Israeli soil," said Lt. Col. Yaron Binyamin, head of the security division in the IDF, Lahav 433.

The indictment also states that the defendant committed acts of vandalism of state symbols, such as vandalizing a banknote and setting fire to IDF uniforms, while documenting the acts and transmitting the videos to Iranian agents. The defendant also filmed shopping centers and malls in Yavne and Tel Aviv and even planted a SIM card according to the agents' instructions.

""The defendant acted very carefully, using two mobile phones to communicate with the agents. In addition, the defendant took precautions such as ordering random taxis and navigating without using map apps, in order to make it difficult to detect his activities," the indictment states.

In exchange for performing the tasks assigned to him, the defendant received various amounts of money via the digital wallet, totaling approximately $1,800.

The prosecution is asking the court to order the arrest of the defendant until the end of the legal proceedings against him.

This is the 19th espionage case for Iran that has been exposed by the security services.
