Ahead of the release of kidnapped soldier Idan Alexander: His grandmother - Varda Ben Baruch, gave a moving statement to the media today (Monday), opened the Book of Psalms, which she called "my weapon", and read Psalm 10 - "A Psalm of Thanksgiving."
"The Psalms are my weapon," said the grandmother, "I am always with the Psalms, day and night, and meditate and pray, and the prayers too, I will read to you now: "A psalm of thanksgiving, make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth, serve the Lord with joy, come before him with singing..."
The grandmother added: "I thank the Holy One, blessed be He, for the goodness that has blessed us today, thank God."
The grandmother added: "Today is Pesach Shani and today my grandson Idan is coming out of slavery to redemption. It is known that those who did not have time to celebrate Pesach are given a second chance on Pesach Shani, and today my grandson was given a second chance."
