United States President Donald Trump commented today (Monday) on the release of soldier Idan Alexander, who is expected to be released from the hands of the Hamas terrorist organization this evening.

This is the 15th time it's happening! The big raffle for a Torah scroll and prizes worth 150,000 NIS

""By all accounts, they thought Idan was dead, and he would be released alive," Trump said - and heaped praise on his special envoy to the Middle East: "Witkoff is a great man, he did a fantastic job. He has a lot of talent. He has a special personality. He does great deals.".

Trump added: "Idan will be released in two hours or sometime today. His parents are happy, they are very happy. I am happy for his release. He has been held captive since October 7th and now he is going home to his parents, which is great news. They thought he was dead.".

He spoke about the trip to the Middle East: "We will travel to the region and be in three countries - Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.".

Earlier, he addressed the situation in Yemen and said: "We created a situation where the Houthis stopped firing for the first time ever, they made it clear that they would no longer fire on American ships and would no longer fire on Americans. They have been in a state of war forever, but in the last ten years they have been very difficult for other countries.".

He said, "No one has been able to do what we did, but they stopped. We take their word for it. They and their representatives told us they don't want to continue this anymore.".
