Police officers from the Ma'ale Adumim station in the Sha'i district, Yehuda Police Station soldiers, Border Police and IDF soldiers entered the village, and during the activity inside the event hall, the forces located the owner of the hall and the groom - and along with additional seized items, they were transferred for questioning at the Ma'ale Adumim police station.

The wedding was called off.

The police stated: "The Shi'ite District police, together with the security forces, will continue to act decisively against the illegal use of weapons. The perpetrators of the incidents from which shooting is carried out are responsible for this, and therefore the Israel Police will act to enforce the law in a professional and determined manner.".

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir supported the police: "I commend the police of the Sha'ar District, the fighters of the Yehuda Police Station, the Border Police and the IDF who operated last night in Izriya and stopped a wedding from which shooting was carried out.".

""This is my policy - anyone who endangers human life and acts illegally, even if it's a wedding, will find a firm hand from the police and zero tolerance. This is the way to eradicate this phenomenon.".
