How many Gazans have really been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7? According to a new report by the British research institute Henry Jackson Society (HJS), published this week, the Hamas data provided to the world is far from reality and is based on a false, systematic inflating mechanism.
According to a report this evening (Thursday) by Nati Langerman on Channel 14, the research institute reveals that the Hamas Ministry of Health in Gaza added nameless "casualties" and deleted the names of terrorists from the list of dead, in order to create a false representation that mainly women and children are dying in the Strip.
More than 50,000 names appear on the latest official lists of the Gaza Health Ministry, and according to the terrorist organization, about 70 percent of them are “civilians.”.
However, the report's authors, Dr. Levi Stone and Prof. Gregory Rose, discovered:
• Approximately 14.5 thousand of the dead are defined as “unidentified” - without a verified name, age, gender, or any other medical documentation.
• Approximately 6,400 names were retrospectively deleted from the databases - many of them Hamas terrorists or people close to the organization's leadership.
• Chronological analysis indicates that approximately 9,000 Gazans died natural deaths, from diseases for example, and were included in the official war death count.
• At least 20% of those killed in Gaza, one in five, were killed by failed rocket fire, “friendly fire” or internal Hamas repression.
The report states: "Nearly 97 percent of reports about families who provided the name of a deceased person were never thoroughly investigated. This allows for an endless stream of fictitious identities - and with them the names of women and children who were manually added to the database to support the false claim of '70 percent civilians'.".
The researchers present detailed tables: Hamas' propaganda arm (GMO) added about 5,000 children and about 4,000 women to the lists, while simultaneously removing about 2,800 men, so that the total remains the same and appears "credible" to the outside world.
In addition, the proportion of women and children in recent time periods (October 2024-March 2025) drops to only 38-45 percent – a far cry from the 70 percent claimed by Hamas in its advertisements.
The HJS research institute claims that the "forgery factory" serves a clear propaganda line: creating the impression of massive harm to citizens in order to mobilize public opinion and international organizations.
""When you remove the layers of manipulation, you get a completely different picture of the extent of the casualties," says Stone.
Rose adds: "The real numbers - as dire as they may be - are significantly smaller than what Hamas presents, and they also include its direct responsibility towards its own citizens.".
