Terrorist attack plan foiled: In a precise and integrated operational operation, fighters from the Gideonim unit of Lahav 433 arrested an armed terrorist from Qalqilya this morning (Friday), in cooperation with IDF forces and under the direction of Shin Bet intelligence.
The terrorist affiliated with Islamic Jihad was operating in collaboration with other Hamas terrorists from the city. He was arrested while on his way to carry out an attack, without causing any harm to the forces operating in the area.
During searches conducted after the arrest, M16 weapons intended for the cell's attack were seized.
The Shin Bet said that in recent days, additional terrorists suspected of involvement in the planned security activity have been interrogated.
The Israel Police, the General Security Service, and the IDF emphasized: "We will continue to act with determination and responsibility to thwart any threat to the security of Israeli citizens, anywhere and at any time.".
