Just before Shavuot: Tnuva announced today (Wednesday) a significant price increase in supervised and unsupervised dairy products starting Sunday, May 11, 2025.

Tnuva's unregulated dairy product prices will increase by an average of about 1.41%, with the exception of butter, which will increase drastically.

The price increase occurs a day after the Ministry of Agriculture officially announced that the price of supervised dairy products will increase at the beginning of May by 1.4%.

According to Tnuva's announcement, the product that will exceed the new price average and become significantly more expensive will be the price of butter - which will increase by approximately 4.45%.

However, the prices of Tnuva's milk substitutes - soy milk, almond milk, oatmeal milk and others - will not increase.

Tnuva emphasized: "Consumer prices are determined by retailers at their discretion, and without Tnuva's intervention."

The last time the price of regulated dairy products increased was in May of last year, when the increase was 4.5 percent. The reason for the price increase at that time was the increase in the price of indices and a previous agreement between farmers and the ministries of agriculture and finance on the distribution of the previous price increase.

The import and distribution company Diplomat also announced this week that it will raise prices at the beginning of next month, and this time it is chocolate and coffee products that will increase in price by about 15%.

Among the products that will increase in price: Mondelli products, which include chocolate cookies such as Oreo and Milka; JDE products, which include Jacobs instant coffee and capsules; and FLORA products, including "Blue Band" margarine.
