Before the start of 'summer time' in yeshivot: Degel Hatorah officially launched the struggle to formulate a draft law this evening (Tuesday).

Maran HaGaradan Lando, who participated this evening in the 'Great Church' ceremony at the 'Binyanei Ha'uma' in Jerusalem, arrived after the gathering at the home of the spiritual leader of Shas, member of the 'Council', Rabbi Avraham Salim, to coordinate positions on the conscription law and preserving the status of yeshiva students.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Gra Salem said: "His honor should not have bothered so much.".

Maran HaGaradan Lando responded: "This is very important. It is important that we unite in one position regarding the conscription law.".

The Gra Salem: "Certainly we are all in the same position with His Honor.".

Earlier, in his remarks at the "Great Synagogue," Maran Lando demanded that a conscription law be enacted according to the model that has existed to date - and declared: "We can no longer stand by in this situation where the right of Torah students to study their Talmud without interference is being challenged.".

In his speech, the Maran Rosh Ha-Yeshiva declared: "And thus we declare in a loud voice: The multiplication of the Torah, and the multiplication of the Hogi and the Lumidya, this is the duty of the era, and this is the duty of the generation following the Messiah, the multiplication of the Torah without any allowance, and the multiplication of the Lumidya without limit or measure. And everyone who helps this, and especially those who themselves meditate on the Torah and whose Torah is their art, preserves the people of Israel and brings the redemption closer.".

""And God forbid, whoever comes to exclude Torah students, except for what his scheme will not accomplish, he has come to cut off the existence of the people of Israel, and has come to delay the complete redemption. Hence our call: Do not touch my Messiah, we can no longer stand by in this situation in which the right of yeshiva students and kollel elders to diligently study their Talmud without interference is being challenged.".

Maran HaGard Lando emphasized: "Our clear demand is that the status of Torah students be regulated as soon as possible, as it has been for years, where anyone whose Torah is their art is exempt from conscription - and he said clearly: This is the opinion and this is the demand of all the great Torah scholars and all the circles and denominations of Torah Judaism, and anyone who thinks differently or acts differently will find themselves facing a united and cohesive Haredi Judaism that stands for its own interests in every way, as the great men of Israel will guide them.".

""The business of the Torah is the only survival of Judaism from generation to generation. The business of the Torah is the only salvation and protection, and only the business of the Torah, even more intensely, will bring about complete redemption quickly in our days, Amen.".

The Grand Rabbi Hirsch said at the event: "The greatest grace is to bring a person to a state of Torah observance, to bring a person who will merit that his entire life will be something and not nothing, to bring a person to a level of closeness to God, and grace to all of Israel. And there is another matter, Maimonides explains, why Amalek had power against all of Israel, because there was weakness in the Torah and therefore this is the power of Amalek, and this comes at a time when there is a lack of faith in all of Israel. Since there is the honor of Heaven and the strengthening of the Kingdom of Heaven, the Blessed One is more present in this world, and therefore there is faith.

""All those who do more and more to bring more and more to the whole of Israel, the very act itself is an honor to God. Especially in our time when there are infidels who want to uproot the Torah, through the study of the Torah and through your actions - this itself will weaken the power of the infidels.".
