Captivity survivors Sasha Tropanov, his mother Yelena, and his partner Sapir met this evening with Russian President Vladimir Putin in his office in the Kremlin in Moscow. The survivors were accompanied by their host for the holiday, the Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar, and the President of the Jewish Communities in Russia, Rabbi Alexander Leib (Sasha) Boroda.
President Putin presented bouquets of flowers to Mother Yelena and Sapir, shook hands with Sasha, Rabbi Lazar and Rabbi Barda - and then sat down to talk with them for a long time.
