Between times: United Hatzalah's lifeboat crews in the Sea of Galilee today (Tuesday) rescued a father and his two daughters, both about 5 years old, who had drifted into the depths of the lake in a rubber boat.
They were transferred to a United Hatzalah boat and brought to shore, healthy.
Moran Raviv, coordinator of the marine unit at the Tiberias branch, and Yossi Bohdana, a rescue union medic, said: "We received a call about a father and his two daughters who had drifted far from shore on a rubber boat.
""Within a few minutes, we arrived with the United Hatzalah lifeboat and found them exhausted, but in good condition. We immediately put them on the boat and performed the necessary medical tests, which showed that they were in good condition and that no further medical treatment was required.".
The United Hatzalah reminds that Lake Kinneret is prone to disaster due to the winds it experiences - and asks the public to be careful to spend time only on familiar beaches and to obey all instructions from rescue agencies.
