A senior official in the Hezbollah terrorist organization told Reuters today (Wednesday) that the terrorist organization is willing to discuss disarmament with the Lebanese president - on the condition that Israel withdraws its forces from the five outposts it has established in southern Lebanon and stops attacking.

According to three political sources in Lebanon, President Joseph Aoun intends to soon begin talks with Hezbollah about its weapons stockpile.

The new Lebanese government is trying to rein in Hezbollah. In his inaugural speech, President Aoun declared that the country would gain complete control over all weapons.

Kan News reported that the Trump administration demanded the deployment of Lebanese army forces and the disarmament of the militias, led by Hezbollah, as well as the disarmament of Palestinian weapons in the refugee camps in Lebanon - or the United States would ask the Security Council to send international forces to carry this out.

The Hezbollah organization was greatly weakened after the war with Israel, and now suffers from a lack of money and equipment.
