During the hearing held today (Tuesday) in the Rishon LeZion court regarding the extension of the detention of Yonatan Urich and Eli Feldstein in the 'Catargate' affair, Urich's attorney, Amit Hadad, revealed the threats made by investigators against the prime minister's close advisor during the investigation. This was reported on Channel 14.
According to Attorney Haddad, the investigator told Orich: "If you want to see your baby, you need to think well. You are smart, you know how to understand one thing from another - in other words, you will be a state witness.".
Attorney Haddad noted, immediately after quoting the investigator, that these are "the same methods, the same offenses.".
In response, the investigator denied the quote and claimed that he did not say such a sentence.
Attorney Haddad replied that the entire interrogation was recorded - and clarified: "One day we will examine you.".
Earlier, the President of the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court, Judge Menachem Mizrahi, lifted the publication ban on the affair and sharply criticized the police: "This is an exceptional case in which the NSA remains embarrassed, among other things, by repeated and massive leaks.".
The judge granted the police a stay of execution until tomorrow.
