On the program "Riklin & Co." on Channel 14, this evening (Sunday), lawyer Ephraim Damari revealed an exclusive recording of a terrorist from Nokhba who brutally murdered and raped - and was required by the MPI to complain about soldiers from the "Sade Yemen" base.
According to Damari, this is a clearly political-public case, in which a false video accusing IDF soldiers of rape was published - and distributed around the world: "A few days ago I met a person who played me a recording. We sent it for examination - and it is completely authentic.".
Damari claimed that the terrorist's accusation stemmed from the fact that he had no real grounds to complain against the fighters.
In the recording, the terrorist testified: "When we were in Jerusalem, they told me (the military police): 'You must file a complaint in Jerusalem, with the military police.'".
During the broadcast, military commentator Noam Amir shouted: "The meaning is that as soon as a trial opens, this terrorist is going to sit in court and testify.".
MK Almog Cohen, in an interview with Riklin & Co., commented on the recording, saying that the MP should be investigated regarding the leak of the Yemeni field video: "Absolutely crazy! I expect the Minister of Defense this evening to order the opening of an investigation against the MP.".
Cohen said: "It doesn't surprise me that the MP is hanging out at parties of people whose political opinions and involvement in the Deep State are unmistakable. I'm shocked, I haven't heard the recording yet, I was told by control that there was such an event, absolutely crazy.".
The MK demanded that an investigation be opened against those who published the video: "I expect the Minister of Defense this evening to order the opening of an investigation, an investigation by the MPI - against everyone who directed it and against the MPI. To bring them in and understand, guys, what happened there? Who released the cooked video?".
Cohen noted that when he arrived at the Yemen field - they said: "Why are you defending rapists? Murderers?" - and he responded: "Where are all the offenses? They've been wiped out. Shame and disgrace, the fluorescent heroes dare to judge our heroes, the lions and lionesses, moral disgrace, I don't know where we can go anymore.".
According to a report by Moti Castel on Channel 14, MK Shalom Danino and a third of the members of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee submitted a request for a special discussion regarding the status of the investigation into the leaked video.
Among the things mentioned in the written request was that Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stated to the committee many weeks ago that an investigation into the incident would be conducted, and therefore the committee members are asking to hear how the investigation is progressing: "This disgrace must not remain hanging in the air and harm the IDF and the State of Israel for generations to come.".
IDF Spokesperson's Response:
The claim that the investigating authorities proactively approached the detainee and forced him to complain is false.
The investigation officers took the testimony of the security detainee, after he requested to provide his statements. The testimony was taken in accordance with the rules.
